Speed Duels

The standard rules of Speed Dueling is not too different from regular Duels, the summary of the changes are as follows:

Each player has 3 Main Monster Zones, 3 Spell and Trap Zones, 1 Field Zone and a Graveyard.

The first player doesn’t draw on their first turn, the hand size limit is 6. Both players can have an active Field Spell Card and a maximum of 3 copies of any card with the same name in both the Main Deck and the Extra Deck.

Each player can have one Skill Card that they place near the Dueling field at the start of the Duel.


Skills

Only 1 of the following cards can be used in your Deck & Side Deck.

"Invitation" to the SocietyIf your opponent's monster is equipped with "White Veil" you control, take control of that monster while it's equipped with "White Veil". You can only attack with monsters equipped with "White Veil" the turn you activate "White Veil".
A Bountiful OceanWhile "Umi" is face-up on the field, apply the following:
● Non-Effect WATER monsters you control are unaffected by non-WATER monster effects.
● Once per turn, you can add 1 WATER monster from your GY to your hand, but for the rest of this turn, you cannot activate cards or effects, until you Normal Summon that monster or a card with its name.
A Terrible FateOnce per Duel, during your End Phase, Tribute 1 face-up Spellcaster monster you control, then your opponent destroys 1 card they control or sends 1 card from their hand to the GY (their choice).
Ancient FusionOnce per Duel, you can discard 1 card to Fusion Summon 1 "Ancient Gear" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your field as Fusion Material. If 1 of those materials is an "Ancient Gear Golem" monster, you can also use monsters from your hand and/or Deck as the other material. Your opponent takes no damage for the rest of this turn. Any battle damage your opponent takes from that Fusion Monster is halved.
Ancient Ruler RisesApply the following Skills:
● Once per turn, you can send 1 Level 2 Zombie monster from your Deck to the GY and place 1 of your "The First Sarcophagus", "The Second Sarcophagus", or "The Third Sarcophagus" from your Deck, GY, or that is banished, face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. (This is treated as being placed by the effect of "The First Sarcophagus".)
● Each "Spirit of the Pharaoh" you control gains ATK equal to the total number of "Pharaoh's Servant" and "Pharaonic Protector" on your field and in your GY x 900.
Archfiend's ConscriptionYou cannot Summon/Set non-Fiend monsters. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can roll a six-sided die. If you do, you lose LP equal to the result x 200, but if the result is 2, 3, or 4, you can Special Summon 1 "Archfiend" monster with a Level equal to the result from your hand, Deck, or GY.
Archfiend's PromotionOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control "Vilepawn Archfiend" and your opponent controls no card in its same column, you can Tribute it to Special Summon 1 Level 8 or lower "Archfiend" monster from your hand or Deck that has "Queen", "Bishop", "Rook", or "Knight" in its name.
Armed and Ready!Once per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can send 1 "LV" monster you control to the GY, then Special Summon the "LV" monster mentioned in its text from your hand, Deck, or GY, as if it were Summoned by the sent monster's effect.
Aroma StrategyYou may look at the top card of your Deck at any time.
BanditIf your LP are 1500 or less, activate this Skill. Take control of 1 Set card in your opponent's Spell & Trap Zone. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Battle City SirenOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can change the battle position of 1 monster your opponent controls. This turn, the first attack you declare must target that monster. This Skill can only be used twice per Duel.
Beasts of PhantomDuring your Main Phase, discard 1 card, then Fusion Summon 1 "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. During your End Phase, if "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" was Fusion Summoned this turn, you can add 1 "Phantom Beast" monster from your GY to your hand. Each of these Skills can only be used once per turn.
Beatdown!If you control a Level 5 or higher monster, you can activate this Skill.
All monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK for each Level 5 or higher monster you control. At the end of your turn, flip this card over.
Behold, Gate Guardian!Activate this Skill during your Main Phase. Shuffle your entire hand into the Deck, then add 1 Level 11 monster from your Deck to your hand, and if you do, you can Special Summon up to 2 Level 7 monsters with different Attributes from your Deck and/or GY, but their ATK/DEF become 0, also their effects are negated. While you control "Gate Guardian", it gains the following effect.
● Once while face-up on the field, when this card is targeted for an attack: You can change the attacking monster's ATK to 0, until the end of the Damage Step.
Believe in your BroOnce per turn, you can activate 1 of these Skills based on the face-up monster(s) you control:
● "Elemental HERO": Discard 1 Trap, then add 1 Level 6 or lower Machine "roid" monster from your GY to your hand, then you can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls whose ATK is less than or equal to the added card's.
● Machine "roid": Discard 1 Spell, then Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower Machine "roid" or "Elemental HERO" monster from your Deck in Defense Position, but negate its effects.
● Both: Discard 1 card, then Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster using only "roid" and "Elemental HERO" monsters you control.
Each of these Skills can only be used once per Duel.
Beware the Brothers Paradox!Apply the following Skills:
● You can Normal Summon Level 7 monsters for 1 less Tribute.
● You can Tribute Summon 1 Level 7 monster face-up, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
● Your opponent takes no effect damage.
● You can only attack with 1 monster each turn, but that monster can make a second attack on monsters during each Battle Phase.
Blaze Accelerator DeploymentOnce per turn, you can change the name of 1 "Blaze Accelerator" you control to "Tri-Blaze Accelerator". This Skill can be used twice per Duel.
Call of the HauntedActivate this card by targeting 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon that target in Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card.
Catch of the DayOnce per Duel, if you control "The Legendary Fisherman", you can activate "Umi" directly from your Deck or GY. Once per turn, at the end of your Battle Phase, if "The Legendary Fisherman" you control destroyed a monster by battle or inflicted battle damage to your opponent this turn, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower WATER monster from your Deck or GY in Defense Position.
Chemistry in MotionOnce per turn, you can place 1 counter on this card, then apply the appropriate effect depending on the number of counters on this card.
1: Discard 1 Dinosaur monster, then add 1 Dinosaur monster with a different Attribute from your Deck to your hand.
2: Normal Summon 1 WIND or WATER Dinosaur monster from your hand.
3: The names of all WATER Dinosaur monsters you currently control become "Hydrogeddon" (until the end of this turn), then add 1 "Bonding - H2O" from your Deck or GY to your hand.
4: Remove all counters from this card, then change the Attributes/Types of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls to FIRE/Pyro, until the end of this turn.
Chillin' OutbackOnce per turn, you can change 1 face-up "Koala" or "Kangaroo" monster's battle position. "Koala" and "Kangaroo" monsters you control can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If they do, apply their DEF for damage calculation.
Cloudy Skies of GreyEach time a "Cloudian" monster with a Fog Counter(s) is destroyed, place its Fog Counters on another face-up monster on the field.
Cocoon of Ultra EvolutionOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can use 1 of the following Skills.
● You can Tribute 1 Insect monster from either field equipped with an Equip Card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Insect monster from your Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. You cannot Normal or Special Summon other monsters the turn you activate this Skill. At the end of your turn, flip this card over.
● You can shuffle 1 Insect monster from your GY into the Deck, then draw 1 card. At the end of your turn, flip this card over.
Each of these Skills can only be used once per Duel.
Cold-Blooded TacticianOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can change the battle positions of monsters your opponent controls, up to the number of face-up Reptile monsters you control.
CollectorOnce per Duel, if your opponent controls a monster, discard 2 cards with different card types (Monster, Spell, Trap) then add 1 card from your Deck to your hand of the third type.
Consumed By DarknessAll "Crystal Beast" monsters on the field and in the GY become DARK. If an "Ultimate Crystal" monster attacks, negate the effects of the attack target during that Battle Phase. During damage calculation, if a "Crystal Beast" monster you control battles and you would take damage: You can send 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your Deck to the GY; you take no battle damage from that battle.
Crystal TranscendenceYou can only Summon/Set "Crystal" monsters and Dragon monsters while this Skill is face-up. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can send up to 3 cards from your hand to your GY, then choose that many "Crystal Beast" monster(s) with different names from your Deck and place them in your Spell & Trap Zone as Continuous Spell Card(s). This Skill can be used twice per Duel.
Cyber Blade FusionOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card to Fusion Summon 1 "Cyber Blader" by sending either "Etoile Cyber" or "Blade Skater" from your field to the GY as 1 Fusion Material, and the other material from your hand, field, or Deck to the GY. That "Cyber Blader" gains 400 ATK. This Skill can be used twice per Duel.
Cyberdark SchemeOnce per turn, you can activate 1 of these Skills.
● Return 1 face-up or face-down "Cyberdark" monster you control to the hand (reveal it if it is face-down), and if you do, immediately after this Skill resolves, you can Normal Summon 1 "Cyberdark" monster.
● Once per Duel, send 1 Monster Card in your Spell & Trap Zone, equipped to a "Cyberdark" Fusion Monster, to the GY, then equip 1 monster your opponent controls to that monster. "Cyberdark" Fusion Monsters gain ATK equal to the original ATK of the monster equipped to it by this Skill.
Cyberdark StyleOnce per turn, choose 3 "Cyberdark" monsters from your Deck. Your opponent randomly adds 1 of them to your hand. Shuffle the other 2 along with 1 card from your hand back into your Deck, then flip this card over. This Skill can be used up to three times, once when your LP are 3000 or less, once when your LP are 2000 or less, and once when your LP are 1000 or less.
Dark CreationOnce per Duel, during your Main Phase, if you have 5 or more DARK monsters in your GY with different names and control no monsters, you can banish 1 DARK monster from your GY then Special Summon 1 DARK monster from your GY.
Dark UnityYou can use "Super Polymerization" to Fusion Summon monsters that can normally only be Summoned with "Dark Fusion". Each of the following Skills can only be used once per Duel.
● Lose 2000 LP, then change the Type of 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls to Rock.
● Discard 1 card, then add 1 "Dark Fusion" from your Deck to your hand.
Delicious Morsel!During the End Phase, if a Zombie "Vampire" monster you control inflicted battle damage to your opponent this turn, gain LP equal to half the total battle damage your monsters inflicted to your opponent this turn.
Destiny DrawIf you lose 2000 or more LP, you can activate this Skill during your next Draw Phase.
During your Draw Phase, you may search your Deck for any card, reveal it to your opponent, and add it to your hand instead of drawing. If you do that, flip this card over.
Destructive FateDuring your turn, when you would toss a coin(s) for the effect of a monster or Spell (once per turn for each card type), you may lose half your LP to declare the result(s) instead. During the End Phase of your 3rd turn, flip this card over.
Dig Site InspectionOnce per turn, during your Draw Phase, before you draw, you can excavate the top card of your Deck, and place it on the top or bottom of the Deck. After you placed a second card to the bottom of your Deck with this Skill, flip this card over.
Digging for GoldActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Once per Duel, you can banish 3 cards from your GY, then draw 1 card.
Dino Brain ImmunityApply the following Skills.
● The battle positions of Dinosaur monsters cannot be changed by Trap Cards or effects.
● Level 7 or higher Dinosaur monsters on the field cannot be targeted by Spell Cards or effects.
Dino DestructionActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Once per turn, you can choose 1 Level 6 or higher Dinosaur monster you control. This turn, if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. Flip this card over at the end of the turn you activated this Skill.
Dinosaur KingdomAll Dinosaur monsters gain 300 ATK and DEF.
Double Evolution PillAt the start of your Draw Phase, instead of drawing a card, you can pay 1500 LP to activate this Skill. Banish 1 Dinosaur monster and 1 non-Dinosaur monster from your hand and/or GY; Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher Dinosaur monster from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Dragon CallerOnce per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can use 1 of the following Skills.
● If you control "Lord of D.", add 1 "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" from your Deck or GY to your hand.
● Reveal 1 "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" from your hand, then add 1 "Lord of D." from your Deck or GY to your hand.
Dragon ForceOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can banish 1 Dragon Normal Monster from your GY to make 1 Dragon Normal Monster you control gain 200 ATK x that banished monster's Level until the end of this turn, also if it attacks a Defense Position monster this turn, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
Ectoplasmic Fortification!Once per turn, if you control a Zombie monster, you can place 1 counter on this card. All Zombie monsters you control gain 100 ATK and lose 100 DEF for each counter on this card. Any battle damage you take from battles involving your Zombie monster is doubled.
Elements of Thunder, Water, and WindActivate this Skill while your LP are 1000 or less. You can Normal Summon "Suijin", "Kazejin", or "Sanga of the Thunder" without Tributing this turn, OR, if you control "Suijin", "Kazejin", and "Sanga of the Thunder", you can apply this Skill instead.
● Send as many cards on the field as possible to the GY, then Special Summon 1 "Gate Guardian" from your Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.
Endless TrapsIf you have exactly 3 Traps in your GY, randomly add 1 Trap from your GY to your hand, randomly shuffle 1 Trap from your GY into your Deck, then randomly banish 1 Trap from your GY. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Energizing ElementsYou can declare FIRE, WATER, EARTH, or WIND. This turn, monsters with the declared Attribute gain 500 ATK and lose 400 DEF, also any battle damage they inflict is halved. If you control no monsters with the declared Attribute, flip this card over.
Final DrawActivate this Skill during your Main Phase, by placing 3 counters on this card. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove 1 counter from this card. Once, if this card has no counters, the next time you would draw a card(s), do the following instead.
● Add 1 card from your Deck to your hand, but at the start of the End Phase of this turn, you lose the Duel.
Flight of the HarpiesIf you lose 1800 or more LP, you can activate this Skill during your next Draw Phase.
During your Draw Phase, you may search your Deck for a "Harpie" card, reveal it to your opponent, and add it to your hand instead of drawing. If you do that, flip this card over.
Fog WarningEach time you place a Fog Counter(s) on a monster(s), give it an additional Fog Counter.
Food ChainOnce per turn, you can apply 1 of these Skills.
● Destroy 1 Dinosaur or Reptile monster you control, then Special Summon 1 Dinosaur monster whose Level is 1 higher from your hand or Deck.
● You can Tribute Summon 1 Dinosaur monster by banishing 2 Dinosaur and/or Reptile monsters from your GY instead of Tributing (it is still treated as a Tribute Summon).
Forbidden Cyber Style TechniqueActivate this Skill once per Duel, if your LP are 1500 or less and you control no monsters. Reduce your LP to 50, then Special Summon up to 3 Machine "Cyber" monsters from your hand, Deck, and/or GY. They each become "Cyber Dragon" (Machine/LIGHT/Level 5/ATK 2100/DEF 1600), and cannot be Tributed. For the rest of this turn, you cannot Summon/Set except by Fusion Summoning, nor attack except with Fusion Monsters. Destroy any monsters Summoned by this Skill during your End Phase.
Forged SteelOnce per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can change the name of 1 "Red-Eyes" monster or 1 Dragon Normal Monster you control to "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" while it's face-up on the field. Each "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" you control gains the following effect.
● Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Dragon monster from your GY that can be Normal Summoned/Set.
Fury of ThunderActivate the following Skill(s).
● During your Main Phase, while you control "Slifer the Sky Dragon", draw until you have 4 cards in your hand.
● If "Slifer the Sky Dragon" is sent to the GY, you can shuffle it back into your Deck.
Each of these Skills can only be used once per Duel.
Fusion Party!Once per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card, then Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material.
Gravekeeper's LotIf you lose 1800 or more LP, you can activate this Skill during your next Draw Phase.
During your Draw Phase, you may search your Deck for a "Gravekeeper's" card, reveal it to your opponent, and add it to your hand instead of drawing. If you do that, flip this card over.
GritAt the start of your turn, call 2 numbers and roll a six-sided die. If you roll a number you called, your LP do not get lower than 1 until the end of your opponent's next turn. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Guardians of the TombDuring your opponent's Main Phase, when a monster is Special Summoned from your Spell & Trap Zone to your field while you have no cards in your hand, you can draw 1 card, and if you do, you can Set 1 Spell or Trap from your hand. This Skill can only be used once per turn.
Heart of a WarriorOnce per turn, you can discard 1 card, then Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower Warrior non-Effect Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon.) You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you activate this Skill.
Heavy Metal RaidersThe first time each DARK Machine monster you control would be destroyed by battle each turn, it is not destroyed, and if you took battle damage from the battle, it gains that much ATK after damage calculation, and keeps that ATK gain as long as this card is on the field. Once per turn, if a monster you control that was originally a DARK Machine destroys a card(s) on the field by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 DARK Machine monster from your hand.
Here Goes Something!Once per Duel, you can activate this Skill at the start of your Battle Phase, while you control exactly 1 "Elemental HERO" monster (and no other monsters). For the rest of this turn, that 1 monster gains 800 ATK while battling an opponent's monster and can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn.
HERO WorldOnce per turn, if you control a "HERO" Normal Monster or "HERO" Fusion Monster, you can discard 1 card to activate 1 of these Skills based on the Attribute(s) of that monster:
● EARTH: Destroy 1 EARTH monster you control and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
● WIND: Destroy 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field.
● FIRE: Return all face-up non-FIRE Special Summoned monsters on the field to the hand.
● WATER: Draw 1 card, also until the end of the next turn, you can activate 1 Normal Trap Card from your hand.
● LIGHT: Change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on the field.
HEROES UNITE - FUSION!!Activate this Skill during your Main Phase. Discard 1 card, then Fusion Summon 1 "Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. If Summoning an "Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster this way that requires 3 or more materials, and you control 2 "Elemental HERO" monsters that are mentioned on it as materials, you can also use monsters in your Deck as Fusion Material. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Hidden ParasiteOnce per turn, you can change all monsters on the field to Insect until the end of this turn, also, any battle damage your opponent takes is halved for the rest of this turn. You may use this Skill up to twice per Duel.
Hieratic ChantActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Discard your entire hand (min. 1), add 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your Deck or GY to your hand, and if you do, you can Tribute Summon 1 monster during your Main Phase this turn, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
Hyper MetamorphosisYou can activate this Skill while you control a Level 3 or lower Insect Normal Monster. Discard 2 cards and Tribute 1 Level 3 or lower Insect Normal Monster you control to Special Summon 1 "Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth" from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. Any damage your opponent takes for the rest of this turn is halved.
I'm Just Gonna Attack!Once per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can make 1 monster you control gain 100 ATK until the end of this turn, also, during the Battle Phase this turn, negate your opponent’s first Trap Card or effect that resolves, and Set it instead of sending it to the GY.
I've Got Dino DNA!During each of your Draw Phases, you gain 200 LP. During your Draw Phase, if you draw a Dinosaur monster for your normal draw, you can reveal it and place it on the bottom of your Deck, then draw 1 card. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can make 1 Dinosaur monster you control gain 200 ATK until the end of this turn.
Inner ConflictOnce per Duel, during your Main Phase, you can pay 2000 LP and take control of 1 monster your opponent controls that can be Normal Summoned/Set, until the End Phase, but it cannot attack directly, or be Tributed, this turn.
Insect Infestation"Parasite Paracide(s)" on the field cannot be Tributed. If all monsters on the field are Insect monster(s), Level 7 or higher Insect monsters you control can attack directly. Once per Duel, you can discard 1 card, then place 1 "Parasite Paracide" from your GY on top of your opponent's Deck face-up. Treat it as if it were added to their Deck by its effect.
Intel from the "Cosmos"Your opponent must reveal all cards they draw during their Draw Phase.
Into the Darkness BelowActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Once per turn, you can discard 1 Normal Fiend Monster, then use 1 of the following Skills.
● Draw 1 card, also flip this card over.
● If you have 4 or more Fiend Normal Monsters with different names in your GY, add 1 monster from your Deck to your hand, also flip this card over.
Iron Grit"Gearfried the Iron Knight(s)" you control are unaffected by card effects.
It's a Toon World!This card is treated as "Toon World".
It's Jinzo!"Jinzo" monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's Skill Cards. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control "Jinzo", you can look at 1 face-down card in your opponent's Spell & Trap Zones, and if it is a Trap, draw 1 card.
It's My Lucky Day!When you activate an effect that would make you roll a six-sided die (or dice) or flip a coin(s), you can pay 1000 LP to decide the result of 1 die or coin. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
It's No Monster, It's a God!Activate this Skill during your Main Phase. Discard any number of cards (min. 1), then add 1 "Obelisk the Tormentor" from your Deck or GY to your hand. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
KaibaCorp ResearchOnce per Duel, shuffle 1 monster from your GY into the Main Deck, then send 1 card from your hand to the GY. During your next Draw Phase, draw 2 cards instead of 1.
Knight of LegendActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Each turn, 1 "Gaia The Fierce Knight" you Normal Summon can be Summoned without Tributing. Apply the following Skills while you control a "Gaia The Fierce Knight" monster or a "Gaia the Dragon Champion" monster.
● If it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. Once per turn, if it inflicts battle damage with this Skill, draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card.
● You cannot activate Set cards in the Spell & Trap Zone.
Land of the OjamasOnce per turn: You can send 1 "Ojama" card from your hand to the GY; Special Summon 1 "Ojama" monster from your GY. While you control an "Ojama" monster, switch the original ATK/DEF of all monsters on the field.
Last GambleAt the start of the 5th turn, activate this Skill (count both players' turns).
During your Main Phase, you can reduce your LP to 100 and discard 2 cards from your hand. Roll a six-sided die and draw cards equal to the result. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Looking into the FutureDuring your Main Phase, you can look at the top 3 cards of your Deck and return them in any order. You cannot activate Spell Cards the turn you use this Skill. Flip this card over at the end of the turn you activated this Skill.
Low BlowActivate this Skill during your Main Phase. Once per Duel, you can make 1 monster on the field lose 500 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn.
Machine Angel AscensionOnce per turn, during your Main Phase, you can use 1 of these Skills, but each can only be used once per Duel
● Discard 1 Spell, then add 1 "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster or 1 "Machine Angel" Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand.
● Shuffle 1 "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster or 1 "Machine Angel" Ritual Spell from your GY into the Deck.
Magician's ActActivate 1 of the following Skills at the start of the Duel.
